1947 MG TC

A very attractive, usable TC with just three previous UK owners.

HISTORY

A UK car that was exported to the USA early in its life, our TC was restored by Phil Frank, a well-know cartoonist who featured in Road & Track magazine who’s cartoons often depicted an MG TC. We know of all the owners in the US from 1980 to 2008 when it was imported back to the UK and have details of the first two UK owners too. Sadly the history pre-1980 has been lost. Treated to a full engine re-build in 2008 by an MG specialist in the USA, the car still runs beautifully with just 4,000 miles traveled since. The steering box was rebuilt in 2011 and the car features electronic ignition making it a pleasure to use and drive. The car has traveled 12,000 miles since that restoration in the USA. Lots of recent work has been carried out including a new windscreen and aero screens, brake and suspension refresh in 2019 and a recent oil change. There is a long, interesting story regarding the dashboard plaque, please get in touch if you want to hear it.

CONDITION
Fantastic rust-free condition throughout, with a lovely light patina to the paint and seats. The wheels, interior and underside are all excellent as is the chrome and carpets. The chassis and wooden bulkhead are in excellent condition also. The fabric roof is slightly worn but still usable. Tax and MOT exempt.
