Originally a red 850 and completely restored in 2015 to Cooper S plus spec. Complete with its original 1966 logbook showing the first six owners, the body restoration ended up including the complete floor, sills, door steps, inner and outer front wings, the front panel, scuttle, heelboard and complete boot floor, rear seat pan, rear arches, one rear quarter panel, the rear valence, doors, the bonnet and bootlid! All carried out by Old Skool Minis. Not an out-and-out replica, but a performance Mini to the owners exact specification. Since the restoration the car has since lived in Switzerland until it was recently purchased by the current owner, a prominent member of the motor industry – sadly, despite modifications to the drivers seat runners and steering column (easily removed) it is too uncomfortable for the current, very tall owner and has reluctantly decided to sell. Recent spend includes a €5,100 top-end engine rebuild in Switzerland, lead-free cylinder-head conversion and more recently a £1200 bill for carb overhaul, bushes, seals, radiator and general checkup including rolling road. Then another bill for £1300 for trim items, including number plates, wing mirrors, gear knob, motalita steering wheel, seat brackets, master cylinder etc etc. We have a pile of invoices from the original restoration and the car will have a years MOT for the next owner.

ENGINE SPEC: 1330cc A-series based on a 1300 GT block, Omega pistons, A-plus conrods, lightened flywheel, cross-drilled crank, Swiftune SW5 cam, Stage 3 head, Duplex vernier timing chain, Aldon distributor, twin 1.5 inch HS4 SUs, LCB manifold and RC40 exhaust, Facet electric fuel pump, Filter King filter, Oselli rocker cover (power estimated at 90bhp). Four speed Cooper S four syncro remote box with 3:1:1 diff, Innocenti remote, Mini Spares cross-pin diff, uprated clutch. 7.5 inch Cooper S front discs, Super Minifins at the rear, S master cylinder, billet handbrake quadrants. Wheels are 4.7×10 inch Rose Petal replicas with 165/70×10 Yokohama A008 tyres with plenty of tread.
Incredible condition throughout, restored 6 years ago but still as fresh as the day it was finished, paint is flawless with no hint of rust anywhere. Chrome is shiny with no pitting, the interior is amazing with the only flaw a small hole in the passenger seat that we are trying to fix. Wheels are unmarked, as is the glass and the underside is as good as the top. Engine bay is nearly flawless just a few paint chips to the Oselli rocker cover. In the boot is perfect with a spare Rose Petal wheel and brand new Yokohama tyre. Recent valuation of €36,000 by the previous owner, with docs to prove.
